Workshop Session Three

Workshop Session Two expanded on what was in Session One, and had you create a detailed assignment and rubric using the principles of UDL.
Session Three, like Session Two, will be as a , collaborative activity with the leader/facilitator moving from room to room ensuring that the in-service group remains focused and on target.

1 Hour: UDL within the traditional classrooms, with the leader offering support as needed.

Task: Invoking Real Change - Adding UDL Features to your Workspace.
Go into your classrooms and take stock. How does the room shape up when considering UDL principles?

What needs to change? How will you change it?

Look at the posters, the charts, the displays, the centres...are they UDL friendly? How could they be made more so?
Think visual, colors, think size, think location, think modes of display, think graphics, think accessibility.
Also, think about learning styles. Think about multiple intelligences. Think about Universal Design in general.
